Having worked on numerous projects over the last 12 years, Dion brings wide ranging project management and engineering experience to large scale infrastructure projects. He understands the bigger picture as well as the importance of effecting strict project controls.
Dion’s career began as a Project Engineer on the PTA Urban Infrastructure Maintenance Project and has worked as a Construction Engineer on the Eastern Goldfields Railway Track Upgrade Project and the Burrakup Loop Project (both for Brookfield Rail). In 2009, he was engaged on the $200M RGP5 Rail Duplication for BHP Iron Ore as Senior Project Engineer. He was rewarded for high performance and was promoted to project manager on the iconic Perth City Link Rail project, delivering Track, Overhead Power and Signalling Systems at grade and within a newly constructed tunnel. Recently he was a Project Manager on various rail projects with John Holland, before recently joining Agonis Group.
A lateral thinker and problem solver, his leadership skills have been recognised and as such was nominated for, and completed, the John Holland Emerging Leaders Program (2007‐2009). The program focused on management, team building, open communication, coaching and facilitation. Dion is passionate about bringing a team together and inspiring them to deliver their best. A firm believer in “seeing things through to the end” despite the challenges presented, he revels in time and task management, ensuring that projects are completed correctly the first time, on time and under budget. Dion is currently engaged in the PTA Metronet program of works.
